Admissions

Applications for admission will be accepted beginning on the last week of January of each year.

Requirements:

Pre-K3           Children must be three years old by September 1st of the school year of application.

Pre-K4           Children must be four years old by September 1st of the school year of application.

Kindergarten   Children must be five years old by September 1st of the school year of application.

First Grade      Children must be six years old by September 1st of of the school year of application.   

 

NO EXCEPTIONS WILL BE MADE TO THE AGE REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Parents must be active members of the Parish

  • Families from other parishes must bring a letter of recommendation from the Pastor.

  • There is an application fee per child.  The application fee is non-refundable.

  • All applications received after the date of the entrance exam will be processed once all previously submitted applications have been evaluated.

  • All students applying for grades 1-8 are required to take an entrance screening exam. Testing will last approximately two hours.

  • All students applying for grades 1-8 must present a copy of their latest report card, standardized achievement tests, and psychological evaluations.  These documents must be presented prior to the entrance exam.

  • Letter of acceptance will be mailed out to notify students of acceptance.

All new incoming students in graded K-8 are required to attend the Our Lady of Lourdes Parish School summer school program.

 

The Archdiocese of Miami is authorized under Federal law to enroll students and issue I-20 certificates in order for students to obtain F-1 status.  If you need assistance, please let the school know at registration.

 

A child will not be accepted in an Archdiocesan school whose family has an outstanding debt in the last school attended.

 

Acceptance at Our Lady of Lourdes Parish School is based on Parish participation and academic performance.  It is not a first come, first served basis.  Acceptance is always subject to space availability.
