Message from the Principal
Dear OLOL Parents,
We’ve had an eventful week at school, and I wanted to share a few highlights with you.
Boy Scouts Visit:
We were delighted to welcome the Boy Scouts to our school this week. They gave an informative presentation to our Jaguars about the values and skills they promote, and many of our students showed interest in joining. If your child expressed interest, please look out for information on how they can get involved.
Safety Thursdays:
We have already implemented our ‘Safety Thursdays. This focuses on keeping our Jaguars safe, both at school and in the community. As part of our commitment to safety, we conduct drills once a month. This month, we are focusing on our lockdown drill. Please take a moment to discuss the importance of these drills with your child, as they are essential for ensuring everyone knows how to respond in an emergency.
Middle School Academic Olympics:
Some of our middle school students have begun their preparations for the upcoming Academic Olympics. They are working hard to sharpen their skills in various subjects and disciplines. We are proud of their dedication and excited to see them showcase their talents in the competition.
Early Release Day and Professional Development:
This Friday we had an early release day. During this time, our staff participated in a professional development workshop focused on STREAM (Science, Technology, Religion, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) education. We are excited to continue enhancing our curriculum and finding innovative ways to engage our students in these important subjects.
Long Weekend:
I hope everyone had a relaxing Labor Day weekend! As we settle back into our routine, let’s continue to build on the great momentum we’ve created this school year.
Thank you for your ongoing support and involvement in our school community.
God is good... #jaguarangels
