A Week of Blessings, Growth, and Accomplishments
Dear Jaguar Families,
What a beautiful and eventful week it has been at Jaguar Nation, filled with learning, faith, new opportunities, and wonderful accomplishments by our students.
We are excited to share that our Debate Club recently held its qualification and selection rounds, where many talented students demonstrated their ability to think critically, communicate effectively, and respectfully defend their ideas. Debate is a wonderful activity that helps students develop confidence, public speaking skills, and the ability to analyze different perspectives. We look forward to officially launching the club and watching our students grow as thoughtful and articulate leaders.
We are also proud to announce that Jaguar Nation now has a Golf Team! Our students recently participated in their first golf match, finishing in an impressive 7th place. For a brand-new team, this is a fantastic accomplishment, and we look forward to seeing them continue to grow and represent our school with pride and sportsmanship.
Our Kindergarten students enjoyed a special field trip to Pinecrest Gardens, where they explored nature, discovered beautiful gardens, and participated in interactive learning experiences. The day was filled with curiosity, laughter, and opportunities for our youngest Jaguars to connect with the outdoors and appreciate the beauty of God’s creation.
One of the most anticipated traditions of the year also took place this week, Day of the Student, when our 8th graders took over Jaguar Nation. Throughout the day, they stepped into leadership roles across campus, experiencing firsthand the many responsibilities and routines that help our school run smoothly each day. It was a wonderful opportunity for them to appreciate the teamwork and dedication that make our school community so special.
Our Fine Arts elective students had the opportunity to return to Dennis C. Moss Cultural Arts Center for a special invitation to attend the ballet performance of “Rita Finds Home.” This enriching cultural experience allowed students to see the arts come alive on stage and deepen their appreciation for dance, storytelling, and creative expression.
Meanwhile, our 8th-grade students joined fellow 8th graders from across the Archdiocese of Miami for a meaningful field trip called Greater Love. This powerful experience focused on the importance of respecting themselves and others while reflecting on the values that guide them as Catholic young adolescents.
Our 2nd Grade A students celebrated a very special milestone as they received the Sacrament of Reconciliation, preparing their hearts as they continue their journey toward receiving First Holy Communion. It was a beautiful moment of faith and reflection for our students.
Adding a bit of early Easter joy to campus, Bunny Pictures were a big hit as the Easter Bunny made a special early appearance at Jaguar Nation. Smiles, laughter, and lots of adorable photos made it a memorable day for students.
We were also honored to welcome students from Sts. Peter and Paul School, grades 2 through 8, for a very special visit. During their time with us, they learned more about Our Lady of Lourdes, her message and mission, and experienced the Gestures of the Water, a meaningful and prayerful tradition that reminds us of the healing and grace associated with the sanctuary in Lourdes.
To end this incredible week on a high note, three of our 8th-grade students were recognized with the Rising Stars Award from Step Up for Students for their outstanding academic achievement and exemplary character. We are incredibly proud of these Jaguars for representing our school with excellence and integrity.
As we reflect on all that took place this week, we are reminded that success is built through dedication, perseverance, and faith.
“Success is the result of hard work, perseverance, learning, sacrifice, and most of all, love for what you are doing.”
Thank you for continuing to partner with us in guiding and supporting our amazing students.
With gratitude and Jaguar pride 🐾
