Dear Jaguar Families,
After a much-needed and restful long weekend, our Jaguars returned to campus ready to learn, celebrate, and grow together. This week was filled with meaningful moments that reflected the spirit, creativity, and faith of our Jaguar Nation!
We began the week with a beloved Jaguar tradition, our Third Grade Vocabulary Parade. Our students truly brought words to life as they proudly dressed as their word of choice. From “radiant" to “nourishment,” each costume reflected not only creativity and imagination but also a deep understanding of language. Their confidence as they paraded across campus was inspiring, and it was clear that learning had become both visible and joyful.
Our Fourth Grade students ventured to Zoo Miami, where the wonders of nature came alive right before their eyes. This hands-on experience allowed students to connect classroom learning with the real world as they explored habitats, observed animal behaviors, and deepened their appreciation for God’s incredible creation. Experiences like these help foster curiosity and a lifelong love of learning.
Meanwhile, our PK4 and Eighth Grade students marked memorable milestones as they took their Cap and Gown Class Pictures. For our PK4 students, this moment is filled with promise and excitement for Kindergarten. For our eighth graders, it serves as a powerful reminder that their time at Jaguar Nation is preparing them for the next chapter, high school. Seeing both our youngest and oldest students dressed in their caps and gowns was a beautiful reflection of growth, continuity, and the bright future ahead.
On Wednesday, we came together as a faith community for Ash Wednesday, marking the beginning of the Lenten season. Students, faculty, and staff gathered and received ashes as a visible sign of our call to renewal, humility, and conversion. It was a reverent and meaningful reminder for all of us to pause, reflect, and draw closer to God through prayer, sacrifice, and acts of love.
This week also marked the beginning of the TerraNova Next and InView standardized testing for our students in second through eighth grade. Our Jaguars approached testing with focus, determination, and confidence. These assessments provide valuable insight into student growth and help guide our instructional planning as we continue striving for academic excellence. We are proud of the effort our students are demonstrating and thank our teachers for their intentional preparation and encouragement.
We ended the week with a heartwarming celebration as our PK students commemorated their 101st day of school, dressed as adorable dalmatians. Their excitement and joy were contagious as they celebrated how much they had learned and grown in just 101 school days. Moments like these remind us that learning should always be filled with joy, celebration, and a sense of accomplishment.
Beyond the classroom, we are thrilled to share continued progress on our campus improvements. Now that the festival has concluded and cleanup is complete, we are entering the final phases of installing our new track. The company is currently applying the specialized layers of turf that will soon provide our students with a safe, high-quality space for athletics, physical education, and daily activities. This project represents an investment in our students’ well-being and future, and we cannot wait to see our Jaguars enjoy this beautiful new addition.
As we journey through the season of Lent, we are reminded that this is a time for reflection, renewal, and spiritual growth. It is an opportunity for each of us to slow down, open our hearts, and strengthen our relationship with God through prayer, sacrifice, and acts of kindness.
“Lent is a time to let our hearts be touched by God, so that we may become more like Christ in love, humility, and service.”
Thank you, as always, for your continued partnership and support. It is a blessing to walk this journey together as one Jaguar family.
With faith and Jaguar pride,
The Administrative Team
