Dear Jaguar Nation,
Carnival Joy & Jaguar Pride
What an incredible week it has been in Jaguar Nation! Our Carnival was a HUGE success, truly the best in so many ways. The joy, fellowship, laughter, and overwhelming support from our community filled our campus with excitement and gratitude.
We could not be prouder that an alumnus won the 3rd place raffle prize and that one of our very own school families won 1st prize. Moments like that completely fill our hearts; a beautiful reminder that Jaguar pride lasts a lifetime and that our community is deeply rooted in faith and connection.
As if the joy of the carnival was not enough, we proudly watched our Junior Thespians take the stage at the State level for the very first time in our school’s history. Competing among some of the finest programs, our students earned 1 Superior award and 5 Excellent awards, an incredible accomplishment that reflects their dedication, talent, and countless hours of preparation. Their success is proof that when passion meets hard work, our students truly steal the show. We could not be more proud of their confidence, teamwork, and commitment to excellence.
After a much-needed day of rest, we began the week still riding the wave of gratitude and celebration.
PK3 ABC Parade
Our week kicked off with the most adorable ABC Parade led by our PK3 students. Their creativity was on full display as they proudly paraded in their alphabet-themed attire. Watching our littlest Jaguars shine with confidence and excitement was such a joyful way to begin our preparation for the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes.
Preparing Our Hearts/Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes
As we prepared for the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes, our students in 2nd through 8th grade participated in the Gesture of the Water. What a profound blessing it is for our students to experience this beautiful tradition and be reminded of the healing waters of Lourdes. These are the faith-filled moments that make Catholic education so special... Opportunities for our children to encounter God’s grace in meaningful and tangible ways.
To mark the feast day, each family received a tiny figurine of Our Lady, a small but powerful reminder that she is always protecting and guiding our homes.
Two of our second-grade students beautifully represented Saint Bernadette and Our Lady, bringing the story of Lourdes to life. Our PK3A students and parents participated in the school Mass, adding even more sweetness to this sacred celebration.
We also celebrated with a jean dress-down in light blue, Our Lady’s color, and the joy continued with cupcakes for all Jaguars!
And if that wasn’t enough… while some of our families joined us at McTeacher Night at McDonald's, others gathered with our parish community for the Healing Mass and the beautiful Candlelight Procession. What a powerful witness to faith in action.
Leadership & Reflection
Yesterday, Mrs. Cabrera joined fellow principals at the annual Principals’ Retreat, a beautiful reminder of the goodness of God always at work in our lives and in our schools. Leadership rooted in faith continues to guide all that we do. The week continued with the 100th Day of School celebrations in Kindergarten and First Grade. The cutest little “viejitos” in Jaguar Nation stole our hearts! One hundred days of learning, growing, and thriving... What an accomplishment!
A Sweet Valentine’s Surprise
Just today, families were greeted by two very “crazy” and silly Hershey’s Kisses, spreading smiles and sweetness across campus.
We wish all of our families a wonderful Valentine’s Day tomorrow and a safe and restful long weekend. Please remember that school will be closed on Monday in observance of Presidents’ Day.
As always, remember:
"When we lead with faith, we lead with purpose."
OnGoodGround...God is good...
