Dear Jaguar Nation,
This past week was a beautiful reminder of all that makes our OLOL community so special. We began the week with our second-grade students enjoying a wonderful field trip to Zoo Miami, where learning came alive through exploration and hands-on experiences. Our third-grade classes also had an exciting and enriching visit to the Deering Estates, where students participated in engaging STEAM activities, including building rockets and the popular egg experiment. It was a joy to witness our students’ curiosity, creativity, and enthusiasm.
Midweek, our school community gathered for a truly meaningful Living Rosary. Our students led us in prayer in different languages, reflecting the diversity and unity of our faith-filled community. The choir beautifully honored Mother Mary with songs of praise, creating a reverent and prayerful atmosphere. A heartfelt thank you to all the families who brought in flowers for Mary; your generosity added to the beauty of this special devotion.
We joyfully kick off a very special weekend as we celebrate our parish and school community while beginning the Feast of Our Lady of Lourdes with the OLOL Carnival. Over four exciting days, our community will come together to enjoy delicious food, thrilling rides, entertainment, raffles, music, games, and so much more. We look forward to the laughter, fellowship, and shared moments that truly reflect the strong bond we share as one OLOL family.
As a reminder, Monday will be a day off for students and staff and will serve as one of our floating holidays to allow for carnival clean-up. We are deeply grateful to everyone who has volunteered, supported, and contributed to making this weekend possible.
Thank you for your continued partnership, faith, and commitment to our school community. Weeks like this remind us how truly blessed we are.
