Dear Jaguar Families,
After a much-needed long weekend break, our Jaguars returned to campus ready for another exciting week filled with learning, community, service, and plenty of Jaguar spirit! There was so much happening across our campus, and we are excited to share some of the highlights with you.
Learning Through History: Our 8th Grade Visits the Holocaust Museum
Our 8th grade students had the meaningful opportunity to visit the Holocaust Museum this week. This experience provided our students with the opportunity to step beyond the classroom and engage with one of the most important and difficult chapters in history.
Through exhibits, artifacts, and stories of individuals who lived through the Holocaust, our students were encouraged to reflect on the value of human dignity, courage, compassion, and standing up against injustice. Experiences like this remind us that learning history is not simply about remembering the past; it is about understanding our responsibility to build a more compassionate and just future.
The Jaguar Community Shows Its Support! 🍕🎭
Our Jaguar community once again came through in a BIG way with our Papa John’s Nifty Fifty fundraiser, supporting our Drama Club! We are incredibly grateful to all of our families who participated and helped make this fundraiser a success.
And because our Drama Club is always ready for a little extra magic, we celebrated with a special Lion King Dress Down Day! Our campus was filled with plenty of Hakuna Matata spirit as our Jaguars showed their support for our talented performers.
Scouts, Superheroes & Big Smiles! 🦸♂️
America Scouts visited our students, sharing information and introducing them to the opportunities and experiences that scouting provides.
At the same time, our youngest Jaguars received a visit that was truly Marvel-ous! Ms. Santalo surprised our PK3 students with a special visit from Iron Man. Needless to say, the excitement was priceless! It was a wonderful reminder that sometimes a little surprise can turn an ordinary school day into an unforgettable one.
A Special Day for Our Jaguar Grandparents 💙🐾
We ended our week by opening our doors to some of the most special members of our Jaguar family, our Jaguar Grandparents!
Our grandparents joined us on campus for a beautiful opportunity to spend time with their grandchildren, see their classrooms, and experience a small part of their school day. Their presence filled our campus with smiles, hugs, laughter, and so many special moments.
Grandparents hold a unique and treasured place in the lives of our children. We are grateful for the love, wisdom, encouragement, and faith they pour into our students and for the opportunity to welcome them into our school community. Thank you to all of our grandparents who took the time to join us. We were blessed to have you here!
Remembering September 11
As a school community, we also took time to pause and remember September 11, 2001. Through age-appropriate reflection and prayer, we honored the lives lost, remembered the heroes who served and sacrificed, and reflected on the importance of unity, courage, service, and compassion.
These moments of remembrance remind us of the importance of teaching our students not only what happened in history, but also how we can respond to difficult moments with faith, kindness, and a commitment to helping others.
As another busy week comes to a close, we are reminded of just how much happens within our Jaguar Nation. From meaningful learning experiences to community celebrations, from superheroes to grandparents, every moment helps shape the memories our students will carry with them.
“Be proud of how far you have come, be grateful for where you are, and be excited for where you are going.”
We are so proud of our Jaguars and all that they continue to accomplish each day!
Together we shine, let peace begin!
