Warning: This newsletter is full of magical moments happening at Jaguar Nation!
Dear Jaguar Families,
This week at Jaguar Nation truly felt like we had stepped “under the sea” into a world full of wonder, creativity, and unforgettable experiences.
Our production of The Little Mermaid was nothing short of magical. With over 1,200 guests in attendance, the auditorium was filled with excitement, laughter, and many WOW moments that left the audience amazed. From the stunning set design and vibrant costumes to the powerful musical performances and choreography, every scene transported us into Ariel’s world.
Beyond the lights and music, Ariel's story reminds us of something deeper: the courage to follow what is good and true, the importance of using our gifts, and the value of sacrifice and love for others. These themes resonate beautifully with our faith, reminding us that God calls each of us to discover our purpose and share our talents with the world. Mrs. Acosta, the drama team, and our students worked tirelessly for months, and their dedication truly shone on stage. We could not be prouder of every Jaguar who helped bring this story to life.
For the first time, two of our lucky Jaguars experienced the show in a very special way backstage passes to The Little Mermaid! They were able to see behind the curtain, meet cast members, and witness the magic that happens just before the curtain rises. When asked about the experience, one student summed it up perfectly: “That was really cool.”. Sometimes the simplest words say it best!
Meanwhile, our Mini Jaguars were celebrating the imaginative world of Dr. Seuss all week long. Classrooms were filled with colorful activities, creative dress-up days, and joyful learning inspired by some of the most beloved stories in children’s literature. A heartfelt thank you to our incredible teachers and assistants, whose creativity and dedication made the week so memorable for our youngest students. As Dr. Seuss once reminded us, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go.” Our Mini Jaguars certainly went on many wonderful learning adventures this week.
Our 5th-grade students also began their DARE Program, an important initiative that teaches students how to make safe and responsible choices, develop confidence, and build the skills needed to navigate real-life situations with courage and integrity. We are grateful for this partnership that helps guide our students as they continue growing into thoughtful and responsible young leaders.
Adding to the excitement of the week, our first-grade students visited Pinto Farms for a very special field trip focused on farm life and animals. The students had the opportunity to see and learn about a variety of animals up close while exploring the beauty of the outdoors. Experiences like these allow our students to connect with nature, ask questions, and discover the wonders of God’s creation in a hands-on and meaningful way.
From magical performances and imaginative celebrations to meaningful learning experiences, this week truly reminded us how special it is to be part of Jaguar Nation.
And as we reflect on the spirit of this week, one line from The Little Mermaid feels especially fitting:
“The human world… It’s a mess. Life under the sea is better than anything they got up there.”
Of course, we might say something a little different here at Jaguar Nation: life at our school is filled with magic, faith, and community, and we wouldn’t trade it for anything.
With gratitude and Jaguar pride,
The Administrative Team
